Cut in 1981 and from the surviving original recording, "Skin Up" captures Centaur in full youthful swing: 

Darren Frearson on rhythm guitar and lead vocal, Paul Ryan peeling lead lines, Ian Newman locking the low end, and Simon Smith driving the kit (with Dave Ashcroft deputising on drums at a handful of shows). 

Long requested by those who remember its first run, this great video is cut to the ORIGINAL audio, recorded in a garage in Luton, England.

In 1981 as four young wannabe rock stars strutted and posed their way through what they swore was heavy metal, ‘Fade Out’ wore its flaws proudly and loudly. 

This edition salvages a very rough source and brings it into focus: broadband noise reduced, timing tightened, pitch and dynamics work applied and a fresh master that adds weight and width. 

The result doesn’t rewrite history; it reveals it, recapturing the reckless enthusiasm of that session while making it hit cleanly on modern speakers.
