Did You See Deirdre! weren’t just a band; they were a post-punk flashpoint.

"The Circle" captures the attitude that made them press-anointed local heroes: jagged guitars, floor-tom thrum and a chorus built to shout back. 

Darren takes the mic, channelling that restless, communal charge. 

This release is newly polished with tightened timing, subtle tuning and a wider, punchier mix so the edges stay sharp while the impact hits harder.

Did You See Deirdre! were masters of tension-and-release, and ‘The Call’ proves it. Taut verses coil into a cathartic, shout-back chorus that urged young crowds to obey the call. 

Originally captured live with Riaz taking on the vocal duties,  this edition has been meticulously modernised: noise reduced, time-aligned, phase-tidied with tasteful pitch/dynamics work and fresh mastering to expand the stereo field. 

The urgency is intact; the fidelity is elevated.

Tracked in the 1980s as part of the Marshallswick Studio Sessions, this captures Did You See Deirdre!’s pivot toward a classic beat feel. 

Darren takes the mic with a more direct delivery, Riaz underpins the track with a solid bass part and Simon’s drums keep it driving without crowding the room. 

The original tapes have been sympathetically modernised: noise cleaned, time-aligned, light pitch/dynamics work applied and a fresh master to up the stereo image while preserving the era’s character.
